Join us on Saturday, May 30th from 1-5PM for a Youth Bouldering Competition!
With many different age categories and 24 problems to climb, there will be something for every age and ability.
Answer: A scramble comp, is a bouldering competition where everyone climbs at the same time within a set time limit. Unlike traditional competition formats, where climbers take turns on specific climbs, a scramble comp allows participants to move around the gym freely, trying different problems at their own pace.
Answer: To complete a climb, you must start on all four start points and have full control with both hands on the final hold.
You can take as many attempts as you need to complete a climb, but the more tries it takes, the fewer points you earn for that problem.
Harder climbs will always be worth more than easier climbs, even if they take you more attempts to complete.
After each completed climb, you will need a witness to sign your scorecard to indicate they saw you complete the climb.
At the end of the competition, hand in your scorecard to the front desk and the Core staff will take your six highest ranking climbs and add them together to create your final score.
